Updated Draft Strategic Plan is ready

I am pleased to provide for everyone's consideration a new version of the detailed Draft Strategic Plan (version 3.1; PDF).

This draft has taken into consideration numerous comments and suggestions from our three open forums earlier this month as well as from VPAC and the Board, and others.

You will see that this version provides much greater emphasis on what it is that Douglas College is to be known for as we embark on the steps and actions necessary to achieve our vision of being the largest and most progressive baccalaureate degree-granting college in British Columbia.

This version has been provided to Education Council, which will give its feedback to the Board on May 20.

In the coming weeks, we will be working on a summary version of the document suitable for wide public distribution and promotional purposes.

Individual units within the College will be working on their tactical plans to align to this overall Strategic Plan. Those tactical plans will focus on the metrics, timelines and accountabilities necessary for implementation.

To everyone who has contributed and participated in this process: thank you.

Your continued input is welcome. If you would like to make a comment or suggestion on this latest Draft Strategic Plan, please use the comments function of this blog. --Scott
